Uranium production at BHP Billiton's Olympic Dam operation in South Australia in 2008 totalled 3943 tonnes, down from its output of 3985 tonnes in 2007. Meanwhile, Heathgate's Beverley in-situ leach (ISL) mine, also in South Australia, produced 659 tonnes in 2008, down from the 748 tonnes of U3O8 it produced in 2007.
